Odissi Dance Performance by OSS kids

Our young dancers Puja, Stuti, Priya and Saanvi have performed Odissi dance form Kalabati Pallavi which is choreographed by guru By Sasmita Pal.

Pallavi literally means blooming. This is applicable not only to the dance but also to the music, which accompanies it. Pallavi starts with slow, graceful, lyrical movement of the eyes, neck, torso and feet and slowly builds in a crescendo to climax in a fast tempo at the end. Based on raag kalabati. Our dancers are:

  • Puja Priya Mohanty
  • Stuti Prangnya Mohanty
  • Priya Dash
  • Saanvi Patnaik

Odissi Dance by Shreyanshi

Odissi dance form Laxmi Nrushingh mangalacharan by Shreyanshi.

Prahallad shuddered out of fear as his father was killed by Lord Vishnu. He requested Lord Vishnu that he wanted to see Him like his parents. Lord Vishnu then appeared with his wife Maa Laxmi.

The dance is performed by Shreyanshi Pradhan and choreographed by guru By Sasmita Pal.

Sambalpuri folk dance (Ladies)

The dance is choreographed by Sasmita Pal. Our dancers are:

  • Litali Mohapatra, 
  • Atashi Rath
  • Swati Acharya
  • Madhusmita Jena
  • Samarpita Rath

Sambalpuri dance (Boys)

The dance is expressed with feelings and devotions. The concept is like that the pilgrims start the journey to find Lord Krishna. On the journey, they are tired and perspired still never lose the hope to reach KALAKANHU's feet. They are complaining to Lord Krishna with devotion and at the same time narrating all the Krishna leela in their song.

The dance is choreographed by Lopamudra Behera. Our dancers are:

  • Tusharkanti Gumansingh 
  • Sujit Kumar Barik
  • Ashok Routray
