Women’s empowerment is the most crucial point for the overall development of a country and society. Women Empowerment means power in the hands of women. It signifies that women should be given equal opportunity in every field, irrespective of any discrimination. It also includes the authority to make decisions. When a woman makes a crucial decision, she feels empowered.
Our OSS came up with a small steps which will change the situation of women in society and make them feel empowered.
Would say, feminism isn't about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world or society perceives that strength.
As part of the OSS Women Empowerment chapter, We (Swagatika Biswal(Lipi), Lopamudra Behera, Sharada Sahu, and Banojini Nayak) arranged a webinar on women's health seminar on PCOD. Our guest of honour Dr Sini Venugopal had covered below key points:
-- What is PCOD?
-- What are the risk factors?
-- When to suspect and consult a doctor?
-- What are the possible effects of PCOD?
-- Is it treatable?
It was the most insightful and effective webinar. Every participant was happy and impressed with her vast knowledge. The age of participants are 10 years and above. The webinar gave a good takeaway to every woman's life. We loved the spirit and enthusiasm and great sense of humor of Dr Sini. Her talk was highly informative. It was a great show and much appreciated by participants.
Would say, "There is no limit to what WE as women can accomplish"
