About Odia Society Of Singapore

The Odia Society of Singapore is a non-political, non-profit, and voluntary community formed in Singapore. Founded in 1998, in Singapore by a small group of Odia expatriates to create Odia belongingness among Odia people living in Singapore. The key focus of Odia community in Singapore is to promote and enhance the purposefulness, educational, intellectual, social, and cultural level of the members, and the Odia community in all aspects of life.


Our Purpose

Odia Society of Singapore strives to be a resource center for Odias in Singapore and abroad and to promote intellectual and educational material for the enhancement of knowledge and traditions of the Odia heritage and culture in Singapore and provides an opportunity for Odia expatriates living in Singapore for social gathering to retain its "Odisha Connection".

Key Engagements

Odia Society of Singapore organizes the following social, sports and recreational gatherings every year.

  • Utkal Divas is the main event to remember the birth of Odisha state

The aim of the society is to glorify the essence of Odisha and make the Odisha people in Singapore feel at home. The objects are:

  1. To establish a non-political, secular, and non-profit society to promote the interests and development of its members and the Odia community in Singapore and abroad.

  1. Utkal Divas is the main event to remember the birth of Odisha state and
  2. Deepabali to celebrate the festival of light.

Membership is open to to all persons interested in Odisha and residing in Singapore. The membership categories are -
  1. INDIVIDUAL MEMBER – open to persons eighteen years of age or more.
  2. STUDENT MEMBER – open to persons eighteen years of age or more who is a full time student (having a student card).
  3. FAMILY MEMBER – open to families consisting of husband, wife, and children below 18. Learn More...
